The Spice Room

In Business on May 14, 2010 at 1:40 pm

There are many Indian restaurants in Manchester and Greater Manchester that provide great food as well as excellent hosting. So when I found out that my local pub was being turned into a Indian restaurant, I was a bit sceptical. My reasons for this was because I live in a small village where take aways are aplenty, so i questioned whether this new restaurant could bring in customers.
This was over a year ago, and now I have lost count of how many times I have been to the Spice Room!

Not only does it serve excellent food and drink, this restaurant is friendly and still remembers its local villagers close by. They have two separate rooms; one for dining and the other is a bar area with sofas, huge television and on some nights they have singers. It is elegant and sophisticated whilst still upholding its restaurant theme.

The staff are polite, friendly and I was on first name terms by my second meal there. The service is excellent. The restaurant is large and clean and well presented. It is an enjoyable experience to have a meal there.

Not only do they run as a restaurant but you can also order food for takeaway which has proved very popular with the local residents and myself if I may add! Their menu has a massive selection and Chef specials which would take any ones fancy.

If you do not go to this restaurant then you are making a big mistake. Who doesn’t want friendly staff, good quality food and all within a good price?

Diva Designer Cakes

When I am driving past this shop, I nearly crash. I drool over the display cakes in the window. It makes me want to get married now so I can have one of these cakes. I am not really a fan of cake (I don’t like icing) but some of the designs on the cakes are genius.

Immaculately designed and put together with perfection, they also cater for chocolate lovers like me, so everyone is a winner.

Take a look at their website which is full of pictures to get your imagination running wild for a wedding, birthday or any celebration!

Saddleworth museum

The independent organisation and registered charity has a lot to offer visitors. Personally I think it is one of the best museums around and has been going for years.

This museum has a lot to offer in history, It has a beautiful setting right next to the Huddersfield Canal and is part of an old Victorian Mill.

This is a great place for adults and kids and stuff to take part in. The museum looks at all areas of Saddleworth such as textile industry and family names. It really is good fun learning about the past of this town.
